The Administrative Assistant position in Salina, Kansas, is a pivotal role that engages with the community by providing top-notch customer service through interactions with Salina citizens. Duties:
· Provides customer service through handling telephone & walk-in inquiries, dispatches information/messages to appropriate staff, documents interaction with accurate note taking.
· Prepares reports; types correspondence; proofreads & copies documents.
· Keeps & maintains departmental records & files.
· Provides administrative assistance for grants & departmental projects.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
· High school diploma or G.E.D. including courses in typing & computer.
Experience:
· One (1) year of clerical work with strong customer service experience desired.
· Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs & other clerical functions.
Work Type:
· Light, exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Equipment:
· Calculator, computer, copier, fax machine, scanning machine, & telephone.
Hours:
· Temporary position available through the end of 2025.
· 30-40 hours / week.
· Monday – Friday.
· Flexible hours between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Pay:
· $17.00/hr.
