ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT III
Police Department
Duties: Performs a wide variety of administrative duties; may lead other administrative support workers & provides backup for Public Safety Secretary; assists in keeping department policies & procedures; maintains departmental files for accreditation; researches, locates, & creates accreditation proofs of compliance; educates employees on accreditation process; assists with administration of departmental accreditation, policy & training software system; assists with uploading & assigning training through departmental training software; oversees one-or-more departmental security software systems; processes departmental accounts payable; creates & maintains departmental forms, booklets, flyers, spreadsheets, presentations & related documents; handles office mail; screens phone calls; schedules appointments; maintains records for limited office funds.
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.
Experience: Four (4) years of progressively responsible clerical work with strong computer skills desired; requires skills in bookkeeping, computer applications & other clerical functions; must type accurately at or above 40 words per minute.
Work Type: Light, exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Starting pay: $18.08-18.98/hr. DOQ
